About Mr. HuestonGrowing up in the Midwest, Mr. Hueston was born in Bloomington, Indiana and attended Bloomington High School South, After graduating in 2007, Mr. Hueston attended Indiana University located in the picturesque midwestern town of Bloomington, Indiana studying Anthropology and Biology. While studying these subjects, Mr. Hueston was able to travel abroad to South Africa and Australia. Once completing his Bachelors degree in Anthropology and Biology at Indiana University in 2011, Mr. Hueston spent some time working at various places like Starbucks and Monroe Hospital in Indiana. In 2012, Mr. Hueston enrolled in an Transition into Teaching Program at Indiana University. During this time, Mr. Hueston began working on his Masters in Science Education and received a teaching license. Upon completion of his teaching licensing program, Mr. Hueston began teaching in Northern Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation as a high school biology teacher. Mr. Hueston taught for two years at Pinon High School before beginning, in 2015, teaching at AAEC Early College High School as a biology teacher. During his four years at AAEC Mr. Hueston graduated in December with his Masters in Science Education through Project Dragonfly, an online masters program accredited by Miami University of Ohio. In 2019 he accepted a biology position at Boulder Creek High School and worked until 2020 as a biology teacher. During that time he helped to update DVUSD biology curriculum and help align Arizona state standards and NGSS standards at his district. In 2020 Mr. Hueston, in midst of pandemic, he moved oversea to the United Arab Emirates to accept a teaching biology position at the American School in Abu Dhabi where he currently teaches 9th grade biology as well as year 1 and year 2 of IB (International Baccalaureate) Biology class.
